Birds can become easily stressed when they come into contact with vermin such as rats or foxes. Rats can bite or attack the birds resulting in infections and deaths or can simply consume feed. This then results in reduced productivity and increased costs.

 

Rats especially carry a multiude of diesases and due to their natural behavour to seek out nesting spots within building infractures. This in many cases causes contamination of buildings and animal feed.

Foxes can decimate a coop and unfortnately once they have identified a food source they will not leave it alone.
